Painted Limoges enamel plate; copper; part of the Legend of the Golden Fleece; Medea sends her two sons to give the present of a poisoned gown to Creusa; Creusa accepts the present; she is consumed by flames; reverse: sacrifice at an altar, man and woman seated, angel in background; shield of arms; dated 1568; painted in grisaille on a black ground painted in white and flesh tones with highlights in gold; reverse: polychrome red and blue also.
