- Curator's comments
- The shape and pattern of this cup and saucer resembles Vincennes porcelain made in France in the early 1750s. The pattern depicting child actors of characters from The Italian Comedy (Commedia dell’Arte) is unique to Chelsea, and may well represent a local troupe.
