- Curator's comments
- This sugar-box (Zuckerdose) was part of a tea and coffee service. The Meissen factory had only recently begun to produce services with matching decoration. The painting may have been exectured by Johann George Heintze. The KPM mark and the crossed swords were only used in combination around 1723 to 1725, which allows us to date this object very accurately.
