Plaque, leaf shaped, pierced with holes for attachment; painted Limoges enamel on copper: the Tree of Jesse. At the lower centre, Jesse, the tree rising from his ribs; on the top branch at centre is the Virgin Mary holding the Christ Child: on each side of the tree three branches issue; each one carrying one of the Kings who are Christ's ancestors; the lowest, on the right, is David with his harp. Painted with a 'pearl' border, on a blue ground with gilt stars, in polychrome opaque and in transparent enamels; details in gilt; with 'jewels' or 'paillettes' of coloured foil under transparent enamel. Counter-enamel a pink flux.
