Chalice; silver-gilt, enamel. The bowl rising from a calyx of stylized leaves; a hexagonal stem with pierced lancets above and below the knop revealing the blue and green enamel on the inner core; the hexagonal knop with rectangular panels of pierced tracery with engraved foliage above and below; a hexagonal stepped foot with beading; three lobes embossed respectively with the sacred monogram 'ihs', a Latin cross on stepped pedestal, the monogram 'rps'; three lobes with foliage containing an inset enamelled shield with the arms of Velasco, a scene of the crucifixion with the Virgin and St John, the standing St Andrew pointing to the saltire cross.
