Description
Jug, body of flattened spherical shape, tall neck flaring at rim, hollow spreading foot and strap handle. The spout is formed as the head and neck of a dragon with applied features and flanking webbed wings and supports a blank shield of arms. The decoration is divided into four zones, each zone has slightly spiralling fluting in different directions. Earthenware covered on the outside and on much of the interior with a white slip and semi-opaque glaze.
