Disc; glass; a slice cut from a rod or cane made up of several thin canes fused together to form a star pattern of millefiori mosaic rosettes in clear ground.

- The majority of G.B. Franchini’s millefiori mosaic patterns were made by arranging prepared canes into patterns and firing them, then pulling the fused canes while hot to lengthen the rod and reduce its diameter, maintaining the pattern within throughout the process. This star pattern however used a different method: the border canes, each with a star pattern, were fused flat, and while hot, the central cane was rolled over them, the whole group folled again, with a further layer of clear glass added to fill the gaps, see G.
