Dr A. Vogel suggests possibly as much as two-thirds of this collection could be from the Rhineland on the basis of type, but the rest may be French. Reiling's "provenances" are notoriously unreliable.

Unrecorded, but said to be from "the district of the Rhine and Moselle", Germany; recent research has shown that the vendor has been notoriously unreliable.
