- Note written in archive (1893 8-71) states that this artefact is a "Flint implement found with well-made arrowheads &c in digging the foundations for a house in the German Colony at the foot of Mt. Carmel near Haifa - 7 metres below the present ground-level - by Herr Schumacher, the Engineer, who gave it to me." Furthurmore, the following annotation (written in pencil, but in the same hand) has been added: "Presented by ASWoodward."
