Composite zoomorphic brooch, one of a pair: cast; sub-rectangular, open-work with scalloped long sides and silver sheet appliqué enriched with filigree lines and arcs, mostly missing on one half; one green glass and one garnet collared triangular settings on that half and one small blue and one green cabochon on the other; three median rectangular perforations.

Ex collection Darly of Amiens; in view of the richness of this Merovingian material it seems likely that this [1891,1019.1 to 73] is a collection from the general neighbourhood, rather than from a single cemetery in the town itself.
