Description
Relief icon; brass; depicting in the centre the Crucifixion; above Christ's head are two cherubim, God the Father and the Holy Spirit in the shape of a dove; on either side and above are five square panels depicting the Resurrection, Entry into Jerusalem, Ascension, Presentation in the Temple, and Hospitality of Abraham (Old Testament Trinity); projecting from these panels are eight seraphim; either side of Christ's feet, the Virgin and Mary Magdalene, St John and the centurion Longinus; below Christ's feet a head of Adam; Cyrillic inscriptions on both the front and back.
