Lead alloy pilgrim's ampulla within a circular frame of open-work tracery. The frame's rim bears an illegible inscription on one side. The obverse of the ampulla is embossed with the standing figure of St Thomas Becket in a bishop’s mitre and chasuble, with an equal-armed cross standing out from his breast. The reverse bears a representation of his martyrdom with Becket kneeling in the centre. A single knight and Edward Grim, holding a processional cross, are represented on his left and right sides respectively. This piece is associated with the shrine of St Thomas Becket at Canterbury.
