Two beaker vases with flared mouth; porcelain; bulbous stems; painted with "The Telephone Box" and border pattern in underglaze-blue; a single Chinese figure on each side in panels, with horizontal borders of floral trellis pattern; marked. Additional decoration framing the single figures for Vase 1 is a variation of border pattern 28 arranged vertically and, for Vase 2 border pattern 24A with groups of flowers top and bottom; mark on both.
