Casket; wood; rectangular; low curved hinged lid, coated with painted and gilt gesso low relief scene: fountain between birds, animals and monsters; bordered with black letter inscription; shield in each lid corner; fleur-de-lis on ends of lid; vertical angle strips at each corner, bronze embossed with retrograde Lombardic lettering; bronze handle on top with four zoomorphic terminals, looped through bird-shaped studs; single lock on front; blue cloth lining.
