Bowl of earthenware covered front and back with presumed tin glaze. Painted on the front, predominantly blue with some red: Christ man-handled by soldiers in a setting with elaborate architecture. Subject from Dürer's `Christ before Annas' or the copy by Marcantonio Raimondi. On sides, grotesques incorporating unwinged putti, masks, moons and winged faces. On reverse two concentric rows of pointed arches with hatching.
