Pottery 'amphora', with two handles. On the neck base, between the lower ends of the handles, are horizontal grooves with small circular impressions above and below in eight groups. At maximum circumference there are four large symmetrically spaced impressions. Both surfaces are polished: the external surface is yellow-brown and grey, glossy, and the internal surface is grey.

Findspot: Schlieben (vicinity of); "near Schlieben". Imprecise location.
Objects with a findspot of ‘the vicinity of Schlieben’ are from various sites probably including Schweinert and Frankenhain cemeteries respectively, and the Burgwall earthwork. See chapter entitled: The Question of Provenance (p.33) in Orlinska 2001.
