Red ochre nodule. Plano-convex in cross-section. The convex face retains most of its natural surface whereas the plane surface is crumbly.

- Although there is no parietal art in Courbet Cave and this piece of ochre is not modified as a crayon, its association with numerous ochre covered and utilised artefacts suggests that it was a deliberate import into the cave.
