Bottom of a drinking vessel; glass; with low foot-rim; gilded design: within a circle are the half-figures of a husband and wife; the woman wears a diadem, collar with pendilia and a toga-like garment; the man wears a tunic and toga; between their heads is a small figure of Hercules wearing a lion's skin and holding the three apples of the Hesperides and his club; a circular inscription surrounds them and continues in smaller letters around their heads; the apples, parts of the jewelled collar and the clavus on the man's right shoulder are painted.
