Description
Broad dish of earthenware, covered front and back with presumed tin glaze. Painted with a landscape: lower centre, Psyche asleep; upper left, Psyche carried off by Zephyrs; right a pillared building, table, fountain and four women (one of them Psyche). Scene and verses on reverse are from the Psyche series, after Apuleius, engraved by the Master of the Die, said by Bartsch to be after Raphael.
