Stoneware globular jug; large; pewter lid-mount; cordoned foot-ring; cylindrical cordonned neck; applied neck frieze - grotesque roundel busts and double-headed eagles; body - 3 large applied oval medallions; (c), oval escutcheon, Coat of Arms - crescent, 3 roses, 2 roses and diagonal band containing 3 axes; (l) & (r) - shield, lion rampant, surmounted by bust of Rudolph II, Emperor of Germany, Hungary and Bohemia (1576-1612), surrounded by floral ornament, inscribed border framing; date; inscription.
