Plate, circular; painted Limoges enamel on copper: Obverse: illustration of a scene from the Legend of the Golden Fleece, the sacrifice to thank Neptune for permission to set sail. Sacrifice of the ram after Phryxus arrived in Colchis by Eetes at the temple of Mars; Rim decorated with grotesques, and inscribed with the number '4' within a lozenge at lower centre rim; Reverse: coat of arms of Geneviève Dolu; also with woman reading, lion, goat, Juno with her peacocks and Mercury on a cloud, above, Hercules and Cacus. Painted in grisaille with flesh tones on a dark ground; details gilt, the reverse also with red and blue in the coat of arms.
