- Description
-
Copper alloy disc brooch. The brooch has a billeted border within which is a backward-looking animal with open mouth and a bump for an ear. The mane is shaggy and there are four strap-like legs, each terminating in three paws. The surface of the brooch is much worn. The back is plain, save for the catch-plate and loop of a (now missing) pin. The hook of the catch-plate is now closed, giving it the appearance of a loop.
