Plaque, square; Limoges painted enamel on copper: One of a series of Twelve Sibyls, all with central half figure in Renaissance derss, identified by attribute and scroll, within a bound laurel wreath, the corners with foliate ornament: the Cumean Sibyl (Sybila Cumana) with bowl. Painted in polychrome enamels on a dark ground, the corners in translucent coloured enamel over foil; details gilt. Counter enamel translucent and colourless.
