Circular bronze seal-matrix: Walshcroft Hundred, Lincolnshire. It has a hexagonal, conical handle terminating in pierced lozenge. Legend in two lines with a sprig below and a surrounding inscription. Wax impression.

The King's seal in the county of Lincoln, Hundred of Walshcroft, for labourers' passes under the Statute of Cambridge, 1388.
The name as shown on the seal rather resembles the form which occurs in the Domesday book, Walescross, than the modern form.
