- Found near St Helier, Jersey, about half a mile from the town (near the town's mill), 5 feet deep (2 feet below the stratum of black earth) in digging foundations for houses on the donor's property in 1836. About 88 were in the hoard, about one third of them were large; the stratum of black earth appeared to be undisturbed above them.
