Drawing of architectural elements among the ruins of the Gymnasium at Ephesus, with measurements. Top: cornice of white marble found in the area before the Gymnasium; centre right: soffit of the cornice; centre left: architrave of white marble over the doors of the circular exedra in the Ephebeum; bottom: pedestal and base of white marble.
Pen and ink with grey wash on a sheet of paper stuck down on to a second sheet pasted into the volume.
