Pottery: red-figured bell-krater (wine-bowl).
Designs red on black ground. Above the designs, laurel-wreath; below each, a band of maeander and crosses.
(a) Departure of a warrior: In the centre is a youthful male figure to right, with chlamys over shoulders, spear in right hand, and shield (on which is the device of a star) resting against his hip; in left hand he holds out a pilos to a similar figure with spear in right hand and chlamys over left arm. On the left is a bearded male figure to right, with fillet, himation over left shoulder, and staff in right hand.
(b) Three ephebi in himatia, the centre one to left; each of the others has a staff.
