Large pottery amphora in White Painted ware; wheel-made; ovoid-piriform body on a ring base; wide, slightly concave neck flaring to an everted rim; pair of opposing rectangular-sectioned handles from shoulder to rim; buff clay and (?) slip, decorated with matt brown-black paint (very faded): banded decoration on the body and neck, geometrical motifs (St. Andrew's cross, filled lozenge etc) in panels on the neck; surface very worn and encrusted.

- The number 32 pencilled on the body may refer to the original excavations, but this is uncertain. See D. Bailey, Op. Ath. VI (1965), pp. 5-13 for details of the Hake-Kitchener excavations at Kourion.
