Description
Reproduction mould-made pottery lamp decorated on the discus with Cupid riding on a dolphin, playing the double pipes. Within the base-ring is an impressed mark, moulded from an ancient original. There is a red-brown surface colouration.

Purchased at the exhibition `die Numidier' shown at the Rheinsiche Landesmuseum in Bonn in the winter of 1979-1980; copied from an ancient lamp in the exhibition; not marked to show its modern origin.
