- Description
-
Marble right thigh of draped male figure who wore a knee-length chiton. Some of the lower edge of the chiton remains over the leg, and there is also a small amount of the leg itself preserved on the right side. It is not clear whether the leg was bare or draped. The garment adheres closely to the rounded form of the limb, and apparently had only a few, shallow, vertical folds. A heavier fold behind the leg on the right side may have belonged to a himation.
