Stem and tondo sherd of Attic red-figured pottery type A cup; no disjunction of bowl and stem, as in 'true' type A cups, but two scraped grooves on stem above turn to foot-plate. Interior: red-figure decoration consisting of part of torso, arms, legs and tip of beard of ithyphallic figure, perhaps a satyr, kneeling on left leg and raising or lowering an amphora seen in side view; much preliminary sketch; dilute brown for markings on arms, body and legs; added red (accidental deposit?) on left calf; exterior glazed black save for grooves; top of inside of stem reserved, glazed below.
