Pottery: black-figured neck-amphora with lid.
Side A: Athena armed with aegis, striking down the giant Enkelados who has fallen on one knee; he is fully armed, with fish as device on shield. On the right is Hermes watching; in the background, a tree.
Side B: Musical competition: a lyre-player in long white chiton plays on his lyre while in the act of mounting the platform, which is painted white with black cornice and plinth. Before him is the judge wrapped in a cloak; on either side a similar figure, who may be either assessors or merely listeners.
