Fourteen sherds, most joining, of a North Ionian pottery dinos or perhaps krater. Very little mica. At top handle scar and light ridge below turn to neck. Inside reserved, save for neck. Tongues to left and right of handle in zone below ridge.
Friezes separated by red bands lined in white, now dull: lions (parts of two or three preserved, with outlines mostly incised;only the tail of a third feline preserved, sejant and so probably a sphinx); meander; large goats, heads reversed, to right; key; lotus and buds; bands. Orientalising fill in animal friezes. Some pre-firing 'chattering' in lotus frieze.
