Description
Terracotta figure of indeterminate sex holding a large bird, probably a votary; hollow wheel-made body with a mould-made face and applied details (arms and animal); long cylindrical body with a splaying base, surface shaved with a tool; the figure holds the bird to their chest with the right hand; the left arm is missing but probbaly supported the rear of the creature; the votary has a triangular head with a rounded chin; sharp nose; almond-shaped defined by ridges; wig-like hair falling in a single mass on each side of the face, indicated on the back of the head with black paint; made of buff clay; part of the base, the left arm and the rear part of the bird is missing.

Karageorghis observes that the sex of this individual is unclear, but may be male in line with the majority of animal bearers (Karageorghis Coroplastic VA, p. 58).
