Description
Pottery squat alabastron (jar) in Mycenaean ware (Furumark Shape 85); wheel-made; squat body with two side handles; made of fine buff clay decorated with red to brown lustrous paint: broad and narrow bands around the body, concentric cicles on the base.

See SCE IV/1C, 321 [FS] Type 85 which includes BM C495 and 496 though both are closer in size to the average dimensions of examples in Furumark's group.
