Description
Pottery zoomorphic vase in the form of a horned quadruped (perhaps a bull or ox) in Bichrome Wheelmade ware; wheel-made; cylindrical body on four stump feet; arcing basket handle extending from the back of the animal to the opening just behind the head; simple small opening at the beast's mouth for pouring; one horn restored; vessel made of fine buff clay with a self-slip, decorated with brown and red paint: panels on the side with cross-hatching and St. Andrew's crosses, brown and red bands around the neck, brown stripes on the head.
