Description
Two rim fragments of an Egyptian(izing) glazed composition (faience) 'common bowl'; mould-made or -pressed and covered with a blue glaze and brown painted decoration; hemispherical body and rounded rim; the painted decoration seems to depict the front parts and head of a four-legged animal against a floral background, framed by a broad hatched border; dots and oblique strokes on the rim.
