- Curator's comments
- For other examples of Ptah-Pataikos from Amathus and a discussion of their significance, see Clerc 1991, 108-13. Clerc et al. 1976, 117-18 and passim descibes examples from the sanctuary at Kition-Kathari. Lagarce (in Clerc et al. 1976, 167-74) provides a useful overview of the use and significance of Egyptianizing amulets and scarabs on Cyprus which often differ from those found in Egyptian contexts.
