Description
Limestone statuette of a horned human-headed figure sitting on a high-backed throne supported by standing rams; the seated figure, probably Baal-Ammon or Zeus-Ammon, is dressed in a long robe extending to the feet, with his hands on the beasts' heads; he has a triangular face and pointed bead (partly broken away) with his lips raised to denote a slight smile; his hair falls on each side to the shoulders; the ram horns are incised to show the curvature; the back of the figurine is unworked; part of the back of the throne and the head of the figure are broken away.
