- Description

Core-formed glass amphoriskos.
Opaque orange and opaque white trails, faintly translucent dark olive green body, clear golden brown handles and end-knob.
Narrow rim-disc, bevelled inward, with tool-marks on upper and under surfaces; longish, cylindrical neck, joining shoulder in gentle curve; ovoid body, tapers, from not far below shoulder, rapidly to a point. Small, elongated, tooled-on end-knob with slender shank. Two thin handles with vertical grooving, dropped on at shoulder, rise vertically to above level of rim and bend downward thence at sharp acute angle to join upper neck.
Marvered orange and white trails, the orange appearing on neck, shoulder and lower body in simple spirals (with faint connecting trail between) and the white beginning on lower neck and running thence to bottom of body; festoons in twenty-eight vertical strips. Two appreciable gaps visible in orange trail on neck.
Formed on a core; rim-disc, handles and base-knob drawn on and tooled; trails drawn on, marvered (except on lip) and combed.

Broken and mended; both handles (except for fragments of attachments), and parts of rim, lower body and end-knob missing. A little weathering-film, flaking, with iridescence, but surface mainly retains pristine sheen.
