Description
Four joined fragments of a terracotta lion-head, possibly a votive mask; moulded; provided with two piercings, either for suspension or in imitation of the original, one below the left ear and the other above the forehead; surviving eye outlined in black, with traces of a black and purple paint or wash elsewhere on the mask; made of buff, finely levigated clay, thin walls.
