Terracotta figure of Eros burning a butterfly, his right hand raised to his left cheek palm outwards, his left hand lowered and holding a butterfly in the flames rising from an altar, naked apart from himation fastened on his right shoulder pulled over his head and falling down his left side, wings are raised and spread, hair centrally parted and falling on shoulders in wavy mass. Fine orange clay (with much mica), white coating, yellow on wings. On the back of the plinth is a Greek inscription "of Artemon."
