Text from Dalton 1915, Catalogue of Engraved Gems: In a gold ring. The inscription must be intended for SOSTRATOU (Greek lettering). Sostratus was an engraver of the Roman imperial age. See Introduction, p. lxii, and cf. nos. 133, 189.
