Rim and body sherd (mended from two fragments) of Attic black-figured pottery skyphos of Corinthian type; interior: reserved band at top of rim, glazed black below; exterior: narrow black band below rim; black-figure animal frieze (from left, part of outspread wing with added red and tail feathers of siren to right; in centre, only head missing of bird to left; red on wing; to right, one hind leg of deer, goat, or feline to right); part of four incised spoked rosettes with red as filling ornament; below, red band between two narrow black bands, above frieze of rays.

Beazley and Payne attributed British Museum 1888,0601.584.a to the Komast Group (Beazley and Payne 1929, 259, no. 18).
