Egyptian terracotta model palmette acroterion. The upper corner broken from a miniature altar, decorated on each side with a half-palmette. The altar was made in a multiple mould, probably of two pieces, but perhaps more. Traces of a matt red slip survive, inside and out and signs of burning within. Brown Nile silt with a light-brown core, abundant fine gold mica and some white inclusions.

- Similar palmette parallel (Fischer 1994, no.1217), from Hawara (Petrie 1889, pl.15, no.8; Petrie 1911, pl.15, no.6, Petrie Museum UC19387) and one from House K at Herakleopolis Magna, dated 3rd century AD (Petrie 1905, pl. 52a, no.167). Bailey dates this piece between the 2nd and 1st century BC (Bailey 2008, 84).
