Sherd of large North Ionian pottery black-figured bowl; inside glazed with incised ornamental frieze separated by bands of added red lined in white; lotus and bud frieze with added red detail; exterior: part of two friezes separated by added band band lined in white; above, goats to right, looking back; below, lotus and bud; added red for details.

- Curator's comments
- Joins 1886,0401.991, 1924,1201.963, 967 and 1031, and is close to 993. 1924,1201964 is from the same bowl.
The inside decoration of the whole has a reserved band below the rim and white rosette alternating with triple verticals below; below that incised rosettes ands tongues, lotus and bud and more tongues towards the base. The outside, from the rim down has: short tongues; black-figure animal frieze, lion and bull preserved; stopt meander; goats to left; stop tmeander; goats to right, looking back; lotus-palmettes and buds.
