Pottery rim sherd from a large Red Polished ware basin; handmade; horizontal lug at the rim, pierced twice; made of fairly coarse orange clay with traces of orange self slip, originally burnished.

- Neither this sherd nor GR 1884,12-10.76 correspond with an otherwise similar looking sherd from a large RP ware basin illustrated in Ohnefalsch-Richter's Kypros and said to come from 'Alambra 1883' which seems to refer to the excavations he conducted that year on behalf of the British Museum (1893, pl. CXLIII, 12g = CLXIX, 8g - the remainder of the items shown here are from Nicosia-Ayia Paraskevi). Similar frogments from his excavations at Alambra can be found in Vienna though again these do not correspond excactly with the sherd illustrated in Kypros (see CVA Wien).
