- Curator's comments
- Numerous copies of imported alabastra in both local alabaster and limestone and in ceramic were found in the tombs excavated in the necropolis of Salamis by the Department of Antiquities (Karageorghis 1970 passim; 1978 passim). Many ceramic versions with golded surfaces were found at the Cenotaph of Nicocreon in addition to stone examples (Karageorghis 1974, 153ff and pl. CC-CCIV).
