- Curator's comments
- At present there is only one registration number assigned to these fragments. Originally they belonged to two ancient slabs, which have been reconstructed in plaster. However, there are also a number of loose fragments which were not recognised as belonging to the same slab at the time and will need to be integrated as part of a future conservation project.
The two original slabs contained three imperial letters, catalogued as Inscr. 491-493. Please note that only two of these numbers are painted onto the plaster (CCCCXI in upper left corner of slab one, which also contains left part of Inscr. 492; CCCCII in upper left corner of slab two, which begins with the right part only of Inscr. 492 and continues with Inscr. 493).
