- Although not explicitly stated in the register, all of the items in the 1867,10-10 sequence appear to haver been found at Dali (ancient Idalion). They are first mentioned in a letter of Pierides of 16 October 1865, though evidently referring to earlier correspondence which has not survived (GR archives Original Letters 1861-68, no. 586; see also Letter Book 1861-79, pp. 72-3 no. 20, 11 September 1865 (Newton to Pierides)).
